Fishy

In Gallery Sculptor’s space in Helsinki, I built an installation extensively
nature’s optical illusions and manipulated projections.
In the front of the gallery I used the camera obscura technique.
Via fish-shaped holes (lens), the street’s views were projected.
Strong light sources such like the headlights of passing cars formed fish-shaped light phenomena on the upside-down image of the walls.
In the back of the gallery I projected films of mirages (fata morgana),
Material that I filmed in the archipelago.
I also used partly oblique projections that got the birds on
the films to swim faster and get stretched in shape.
